Dr. Jeanne Cobb, Professor of Literacy Education, and five early childhood preservice teachers presented a session at the Technology at the
Beach Conference held at the Sea Mist Conference center in Myrtle Beach on Friday, April 1. The workshop was entitled, “Teacher, Can We Watch It Again? Digital stories for Early Childhood Classrooms.” The presentation was well attended by early childhood and education professionals interested in learning how to use Photostory 3 for creating new and engaging media for use in their educational settings. The preservice teachers each presented their original digital stories to the group after conducting action research projects to evaluate children’s responses to this new format for hearing a story read aloud. The Spadoni College of Education values collaborative research with undergraduate and graduate students. This presentation was one successful example.
